Curtin University and the Shire of Dalwallinu will once again host the Wheatbelt Medical Student Immersion Program in March 2026. Hosts are only required to accommodate the students for 3 nights. They will be asked to provide dinner on two nights and help with delivery to and collection from the DDC during this period. Lunches may be required but generally the students buy their lunches. A welcome afternoon tea is provided by the Shire on the Tuesday afternoon which allows the students to mingle and meet other hosts involved with the program. The Shire also provides a "Thank You" dinner for the host families and business representatives and volunteers who assist with this program on the Thursday night.
