About Local Government Elections 

Local Government ordinary elections are held on the third Saturday in October every two years.  

Elected Members are elected for terms of four years in Western Australia. Elections are held every two years for half of the council. If a vacancy occurs within a term, an extraordinary election is held. See the Elected Members page for current terms.

The Shire of Dalwallinu conducts in person voting and voting may be undertaken at the Shire Office (58 Johnston Street) in Dalwallinu from 8am to 6pm or Kalannie IGA (Hazlett Street) from 9am – 12pm.

The next Local Government Election date is Saturday 21 October 2023.
