Active Regional Communities Grant (ARC)
Active Regional Communities (ARC) aims to increase the opportunities for country people to participate in sporting and active-recreational activities in regional Western Australia.
The ARC scheme has three (3) specific funding categories:
Participation
initiatives that increase community and player participation with a focus on targeting new members. This category also includes initiatives that specifically target Aboriginal people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) populations, and low participation groups including people with a disability
Capacity Building
initiatives that improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of people involved in a sport or active-recreation organisation.
Event Hosting
hosting of a significant inter-regional or higher level competition as recognised by the State Sporting Association in regional Western Australia.
ARC caters for both sporting and active-recreational groups and is aimed at the club level or to those groups who are not participating in the department’s Organisational Sustainability Program (OSP).
Grants from $1,000 to $5,000 are available with organisations needing to demonstrate a significant contribution (up to 25%) towards the cost of the project/event and/or in-kind contribution.
