Lotterywest Grants

Have you got big plans for your community but need a helping hand?

Every year Lotterywest approves close to 1,000 grants across a wide range of not-for-profit organisations and local government authorities.

Your application doesn’t need to be for something huge. Along with our support for infrastructure and large-scale events, we also provide grants for smaller projects like toys for local libraries, and provisions for local hobby groups.

Active Regional Communities Grant (ARC)

Active Regional Communities (ARC) aims to increase the opportunities for country people to participate in sporting and active-recreational activities in regional Western Australia.

The ARC scheme has three (3) specific funding categories:

  1. Participation - initiatives that increase community and player participation with a focus on targeting new members.  This category also includes initiatives that specifically target Aboriginal people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) populations, and low participation groups including people with a disability
  2. Capacity Building - initiatives that improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of people involved in a sport or  active-recreation organisation.
  3. Event Hosting - hosting of a significant inter-regional or higher level competition as recognised by the State Sporting Association in regional Western Australia.

ARC caters for both sporting and active-recreational groups and is aimed at the club level or to those groups who are not participating in the department’s Organisational Sustainability Program (OSP).

Grants from $1,000 to $5,000 are available with organisations needing to demonstrate a significant contribution (up to 25%) towards the cost of the project/event and/or in-kind contribution.
