Councillors

The shire council comprises of ten councillors covering three wards.

These are:

East Ward

The East Ward covers the area consisting of Kalannie, Goodlands and surrounding areas. The East Ward is bounded to the south and east by the Shire boundaries, to the west of Petrudor, Rabbit Proof Fence Rd, Nugadong East and Glamoff Rds together with the water line of Lake Moore and directly east to the boundary. The East Ward has 215 electors enrolled.

	Cr Robert Nixon (2009) – President PO Box 1, Kalannie, WA, 6468 Ph: (08) 9666 2045 Fax: (08) 9666 2100 Cr Nixon is a third generation farmer who lives at Kalannie and was elected to Council in 2001.
	Cr Graham Sanderson (2009) PO Box 48, Kalannie, WA, 6468 Ph: (08) 9666 2018 Fax: (08) 9666 2018 Cr Sanderson is a broadacre farmer and has been on Council since 1986.

South Ward

The South Ward covers the area consisting of the Dalwallinu town site, Pithara and surrounding areas. The South Ward is bounded to the west and south by the Shire boundaries, to the east of Rabbit Proof Fence and Petrudor Roads and to the North by Nugadong East and West Roads. The South Ward has 580 electors enrolled.

	Cr David McFarlane (2009) – Deputy President PO Box 24, Ballidu, WA, 6606 Ph: (08) 9674 3031 Fax: (08) 9674 3031 Cr McFarlane is a broadacre farmer and was elected to Council in 2003.
	Cr Harry Hyde (2009) PO Box 29, Dalwallinu, WA, 6609 Ph: (08) 9661 1211 Fax: (08) 9661 1212 Cr Hyde is a broadacre farmer and has been on council twice. Previously 1993 – 1996 and again from 2005.
	Cr Glen Jones (2009) C/- Landmark, Dalwallinu, WA, 6609 Ph: (08) 9661 1678 Fax: (08) 9661 1255 Cr Jones manages a local agricultural business and has been on Council since 2007.
	Cr Steven Carter (2009) PO Box 148, Dalwallinu, WA, 6612 Ph: (08) 9666 3017 Fax: (08) 9666 3066 Cr Carter is a broadacre farmer and has been on Council since 2007.
	Cr Malcolm Huggett (2009) PO Box 110, Dalwallinu, WA, 6609 Ph: (08) 9661 1094 Fax: (08) 9661 1367 Cr Huggett owns and operates a plumbing business in Dalwallinu and has been on Council since 1998.

North Ward

The North Ward covers the area consisting of Wubin, Buntine and surrounding areas. The North Ward is bounded to the north, east and west by the Shire boundaries and to south by Nugadong East and Nugadong West Roads. The North Ward has 199 electors enrolled.

	Cr Bill Dinnie (2009) Post Office, Buntine, WA, 6613 Ph: (08) 9664 2010 Fax: (08) 9664 2049 Cr Dinnie is a broadacre farmer and has been on Council since 1965. He has previously served as President for a 10 year term.
