Dalwallinu Arts Festival

The 19th Biennial Dalwallinu Arts Festival is taking place over 10 - 12 September 2009.

A 3 day extravaganza of Arts & Craft, drawing some 500 exhibition entries of a very high standard from all areas of the state and interstate, with sales occurring throughout the 3 days.

The Exhibition takes pride in promoting the arts in a rural area and gives local artists the opportunity to present & sell their works in a professional manner.

The Arts Festival is a highlight on the Dalwallinu cultural calendar the event coincides with Wattle Week, the idea being to attract the many tourists coming to the area for the wildflower season.

Superb entertainment is offered with many free activities offered to the public, including numerous demonstrators who will be working on various crafts. There will be a number of “Have a Go at Art & Craft” tables, set up with a wide range of art & craft materials and ideas for the public to try.

Several experienced artists and helpers will be in attendance to assist, including Acacia Collard, our local indigenous artist in residence.

An antiques valuer will be on hand to offer free valuations for collectibles and jewellery.

Free to the public is music making with instruments made out of scrap materials including PVC piping. Photos below show fun had at 2007 previous Arts Festival.
